Google “gratitude and brain studies” and you will be able to read study after study that shows when we live with gratitude, it rewires the brain. Imagine, being able to help your brain help you just by focusing on gratitude. Brain scans in the study proves this and not just for a short period of time, but for many weeks. If you don’t stop being grateful, your brain will continually be rewired for the better!
I know it does because I have been writing down my gratitudes every day for many years now. When you focus on the positive things in your life, your energy brings on more things for which to be grateful.
One thing for which I am eternally grateful are my friends from school. This is the year we come together for our reunion. Facebook had made things unbelievable easier. When we first started having reunions, we use class lists and the phone, you know, the kind on the wall! I realize that not everyone can say that about their school years, and for that I am truly sorry. Our classes (we combine) are family.
Gratitude is what makes you grateful. It could be, I am grateful I a have heat and time with my family, to a particular person for something they have done that has made a difference your life. Start a gratitude journal. Write in it every day for a month. See where you are in a month and be grateful you started your journal. You will have begun the process of rewiring your brain. Once you start, don’t ever stop.
What you grateful for today?
