It begins in your head. Once you change your identity it’s easier to change your habits. Habits should reflect the person you want to be. Who do you want to be? What do you want to have attained by December 31, 2020? It begins today. In fact, it begins every single day. Every day you wake up, you have a fresh start. How ou feel and work tomorrow, depends on what you do today.
I am a goal-maker. As a lifestyle and wellness coach, goals are the key. Does it mean you reach every goal? No. but it does mean you get closer than if you had never made a goal. As you consciencely make the decision to create new habits to get you the health you want, you are creating goals and making them happen.
We tend to think in “all or nothing thinking”. That’s not how health works. Each day you make the choices to build healthier habits, you move closer to your goals. Every meal, every snack is a way to build the habits that will give you the identity youo see for yourself. Only you can make those choices.
Let’s keep it simple. That always seems to work best! Let’s start with what we already know. Knowledge is not our problem, creating habits that give you the results you want is what we are wanting to create. Breakfast seems to be difficult to maintain for many people. It’s not that we don’t have the time, it’s that we don’t MAKE the time. Prepping meals and snacks is the only way to reach the goals and habits that will give you the results you need.
Start with this simple egg muffin and start your day right. Simple and easy to create what you love. I use whole eggs, but if you chose to use egg whites, that’s great as well. I love my silocone muffin cups. Starting you day with an egg muffin and a piece of toast or multigrain muffin or grab a sweet potatoe and give a slice and cook it in your toaster. And Viola, breakfast is service.
Ingredients:
Eggs or egg whites
Veggies of choice: chopped peppers, spinach, onions, black olives, asparagus, mushrooms…
Crack egges in a bowl and add veggies. I like to line my muffin cups with fresh leaves of spinach. Mix eggs and veggies together and use a ladle to fill the cups.
Bake at 350 until done.
Enjoy and start your day with fuel to keep you going.
